My Mama says I've been a story teller for longer than I've been able to talk. I used to scribble squiggles on paper and babble to myself happily, and she was fairly certain whatever I was saying and drawing had meaning to me. I've seen some of those early drawings. They look a lot like sperm. Beyond that, who knows what was really going on in my head? What I do know is that for as long as I can remember, I've had running stories in my brain. There are few times in my life I've ever been truly bored. Too many characters live just beneath my skin for me ever to be alone.

What I want to share with you in Wild Stories is a culmination of a lot of things: experiences I've had in my life, tales I've been told, legends and folklore of regions important and beloved to me, and some flights of pure fancy. Sad stories, silly stories, scary stories, and downright oddness--all of the above and more will find its way here, maybe even a few good jokes and riddles. Pick a category that strikes your fancy and settle in with something to drink, a nibble or two, and a willingness to suspend disbelief, even if only for the duration of the story. Most importantly, laisezz les bon temps roulet!
